Welcome to my world

Master Reef Guide

I have specialised in the exploration of the remote Far North regions of the Great Barrier Reef, having been exploring the region since early 2012. I have visited places with my guests that no one else has ever visited, delivering unique experiences and sharing my passion of exploring the incredible ecosystem that is the Great Barrier Reef.

Being privileged to experience so much of this World Heritage Area has reinforced within me the role and responsibility that those that live, breathe and understand the environment have to do everything in their power to educate and protect such a valuable resource. This has amplified since I was privileged to be selected as one of the Great Barrier Reef Master Reef Guides.

World Heritage Great Barrier Reef

Moving to Australia and experiencing one of nature’s wonders, the Great Barrier Reef, sparked something inside me and drove me to become the Trip Director of one of Australia’s premier liveaboard dive vessels, MV Spirit of Freedom, visiting the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea reef systems.

The complexities of managing dive crew, guests, groups, assessing and responding to changes in the environment, weather conditions and possible locations have added an appropriate challenge to the joy of sharing my passion, knowledge, experience and understanding of the Great Barrier Reef to varied groups of guests in a high quality environment.

About Me

At an early age my mother taught me to swim and be comfortable in the water. From those early days through my school and University degree years I always loved being in, near or on water. It was no surprise that when I discovered the ability to see, breathe and swim underwater through the use of SCUBA that my life would change. I found a love and passion for the ocean and working in and around the ocean I found a path that allowed me to push my boundaries and continually practice, perfect and develop new skills.

This lead me to want to share my experience and skills with others and becoming a Dive Instructor nurtured the teacher in me and allowed me to guide others through the simple processes required to experience something truly incredible; the underwater world.
